Start with the places that need attention.
Tell us where cigarette ends and gum accumulate, where people pause or enter buildings, or where cyclists need somewhere useful to lock up. Photographs, a site plan and an approximate number of locations help us understand the opportunity.

Survey. Specify. Cost.
For Smartbin schemes, a typical survey day measures up to 50 installation points. We record column or signpost sizes and identify the fixings relevant to each location, then prepare a costed scheme you can refine as budgets allow. Surveys are chargeable; the fee is confirmed before booking.
If you prefer to collect the measurements yourselves, ask for a self-survey pack with full instructions. Smartbin’s spacer system accommodates over 50 column sizes and shapes, with special side plates for extra-wide columns. Suitability is assessed for the actual location.
Make it work for the people using it.
Consider the direction people walk, visibility, entrances, likely smoking points and the routes used by cleansing teams. Twin Smartbins offer a disposal point facing either direction along the pavement. Colour and branding can make equipment stand out or blend with its setting.
For bicycle parking, look at destination demand, usable space and pedestrian access. Cyclepark provides parking for two bicycles on an existing post. Specify suitable locations and locking arrangements as part of a wider parking network.
Give your team a clear specification.
Ask us for the dimensions, mounting details, finish options, installation arrangements and spare-part information for the products you are considering. Your quotation should identify quantities, location-specific fixings, any installation scope, VAT, delivery and expected lead times. We confirm these details for your scheme rather than assuming every location needs the same solution.
Trial a network. Measure the difference.
Agree a baseline before installation: count cigarette and gum litter at defined hotspots, record cleansing effort, or observe cycle-parking use. Repeat the observations using consistent areas, times and methods, noting changes in weather, footfall or other local interventions. A practical trial gives your team evidence for the next stage.
The City of London offers a published example of a coordinated Smartbin network. Its reported results are evidence from that scheme, rather than a guarantee for every installation. Explore the case study and read council and client experiences.
Take the campaign beyond the bin.
Branded and bulk pocket ashtrays give people a portable disposal option. Tell us your planned quantities, distribution locations and artwork requirements so we can quote for a suitable campaign pack.
Keep the scheme working.
Smartstreets supplies replacement parts, liners, fixings and accessories to support equipment over its service life. Tell us what you already have and what needs attention; we can help identify the relevant parts.
